Community Creation Rules

Community Creation Rules

Member-created Communities are spaces inside ProfoundSyntax. Community owners may set additional local rules, but those rules cannot override the ProfoundSyntax Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, site-wide Rules, moderation decisions, security requirements, or these Community Creation Rules.

Owner responsibility

Creating a Community makes you responsible for maintaining its purpose, rules, visibility settings, and day-to-day conduct. Owners should describe the Community accurately, use a name that does not impersonate ProfoundSyntax or another person or organization, and respond to platform moderation when required.

What Communities may be used for

  • Developer discussion, programming help, code review, projects, technology interests, education, careers, open-source work, and other lawful topics that fit the ProfoundSyntax platform.
  • Additional topic-specific rules, formatting requirements, posting standards, and participation expectations that are consistent with ProfoundSyntax-wide policies.
  • Public, Restricted, or Private collaboration when the selected visibility mode is used honestly and does not attempt to bypass platform safety controls.

What is not allowed

  • Spam, scams, phishing, credential theft, malicious downloads, malware distribution, deceptive redirects, or coordinated abuse.
  • Harassment, threats, doxxing, targeted abuse, impersonation, or Communities created primarily to attack, evade, or organize abuse against another person or group.
  • Illegal content, instructions or materials that violate applicable law, or content that violates intellectual-property rights.
  • Misleading use of ProfoundSyntax branding, names that imply official endorsement when none exists, or attempts to pass a member-created Community off as an official ProfoundSyntax service.
  • Using a Community to evade account sanctions, moderation actions, creation limits, review requirements, Community suspensions, or Community bans.
  • Rules that attempt to authorize conduct prohibited by ProfoundSyntax-wide policies.

Review before going live

ProfoundSyntax may require newly created Communities to enter Pending Review before public launch. A Pending Review Community is not publicly available until an authorized administrator approves it.

Community enforcement

ProfoundSyntax may review a member-created Community when there are reports, policy concerns, security concerns, abuse signals, or other reasons to verify compliance. Depending on the circumstances, a Community may be approved, rejected, temporarily suspended, restored, permanently banned, or removed.

  • Pending Review: the Community is awaiting administrative approval.
  • Suspended: the Community is temporarily unavailable to the public while an issue is addressed or reviewed.
  • Rejected: a new Community was not approved for launch.
  • Banned: the Community is blocked from normal public operation because of serious or repeated violations.
  • Deleted: the Community record has been permanently removed by an authorized administrator.

Owner and member sanctions

Community enforcement is separate from ordinary member-account sanctions. Suspending or banning a Community does not automatically ban its owner from ProfoundSyntax. However, serious or repeated abuse may also lead to member-account moderation. ProfoundSyntax may separately block a member from creating new Communities without disabling that member’s ordinary site participation.

Local Community rules

Community owners should publish clear local rules for their space. Local rules can be stricter than these platform rules when appropriate, but they cannot weaken or contradict ProfoundSyntax-wide requirements. Members are expected to follow both the local Community rules and the applicable ProfoundSyntax policies.

Changes and administration

ProfoundSyntax may update these rules as the member-created Community system develops. Platform administrators retain final authority over Community availability, safety enforcement, abuse prevention, and compliance with ProfoundSyntax-wide policies.
