These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of ProfoundSyntax and profoundsyntax.com, including member accounts, developer profiles, member-created Communities, public and private communications, Community Wikis, Feedback, connected integrations, voting, reputation, recognition, notifications, identity features, moderation tools, paid features, and related services.
By creating an account, signing in, submitting content, voting, replying, or otherwise using ProfoundSyntax, you agree to these Terms and the ProfoundSyntax Privacy Policy.
About ProfoundSyntax
ProfoundSyntax is a developer-focused community built around the idea: Code. Debug. Build. Share. The service may provide Questions, Discussions, Code posts, Tutorials, Projects and Showcases, Resource and News posts, member-created Communities, Community Wikis, private Chat and Group Chat, Mod Mail, Feedback tools, repository integrations, nested replies, voting, accepted answers, Topics, developer profiles, reputation, recognition, badges, saves, follows, notifications, moderation systems, security tools, and other community features.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old and old enough to legally use an online service and consent to these Terms where you live. If applicable law requires consent from a parent or legal guardian, you may use ProfoundSyntax only with that required consent.
Your Account
You are responsible for information submitted through your account and for maintaining reasonable control of your login methods and recovery options. You must not create or use an account to impersonate another person, evade enforcement, manipulate voting or reputation, conduct fraud, distribute malicious material, or violate these Terms or the ProfoundSyntax Rules.
ProfoundSyntax Pro Membership, Billing, Plan Changes, and Cancellation
ProfoundSyntax may offer recurring Pro membership plans, including Monthly and Yearly billing options, through the Store and its configured payment providers. Only one ProfoundSyntax Pro subscription may be active or awaiting resolution for an account at a time. A member may not purchase a duplicate copy of the same Pro plan or create a parallel Pro membership to bypass subscription controls.
If an eligible member requests a change between Monthly and Yearly Pro, the requested plan change is scheduled for the existing subscription’s next scheduled renewal rather than replacing the already-paid plan immediately. The current plan and its benefits remain in effect through the current paid billing period. No separate plan-change charge is taken when the change is scheduled.
At the next scheduled renewal, the requested plan’s recurring price becomes the renewal amount, together with any applicable taxes or legally required charges. The plan change becomes effective after that renewal payment succeeds, and later renewals follow the new plan’s billing cycle. If the renewal payment does not succeed, the requested plan change is not completed until the applicable renewal is successfully paid or otherwise resolved.
A scheduled Monthly/Yearly plan change may be cancelled before it takes effect, in which case the existing plan and renewal schedule remain unchanged. Cancelling the underlying subscription is different from cancelling a scheduled plan change. When a member cancels an active subscription through the supported Store Account controls, the subscription may enter pending cancellation and Pro access may continue through the remainder of the already-paid term; after that term ends, automatic Pro access ends unless another valid entitlement applies.
Payment-card details are handled by the configured payment provider using tokenized or provider-hosted payment methods. ProfoundSyntax Community does not store full card credentials or operate a separate recurring-payment scheduler. Subscription status and renewal scheduling are governed by the commerce subscription system connected to the Store.
Plan Features, Limits, and Downgrades
Free and Pro plans may have different limits for Community ownership, moderators, media, attachments, Community Highlights, Wiki capacity, customization, analytics, scheduling, and other features. The current Pro Membership page and feature interface show the active product limits. ProfoundSyntax may adjust plan limits or feature availability prospectively as the service evolves, subject to applicable law and any notice obligations.
If Pro access ends, ProfoundSyntax may preserve existing content or settings while pausing creation or use of features above the current Free allowance. A downgrade does not guarantee continued access to every Pro-only capability, and it does not override moderation, safety, legal, or account restrictions.
ProfoundSyntax Live Free and Pro Features
Eligible Free and Pro creators can use the core ProfoundSyntax Live broadcasting workflow, including manual Start/End controls, Public and logged-in audience choices, Community-member audience controls where applicable, creator offline branding, creator social-preview images, and manual current-frame social capture. Privacy, account-standing, Community-ban, blocking, reporting, moderation, and other safety controls are not sold as Pro-only safety features.
Eligible signed-in viewers may report a Live broadcast they are actually authorized to view. Broadcast reports enter the existing moderation workflow with duplicate-report and rate safeguards. For a Community-scoped broadcast, the current Community owner or an active moderator with Report-review permission may review the case when they are not the broadcaster; the broadcaster can never adjudicate a report against their own stream. Site moderation staff retain site-wide review authority. Formal copyright notices should use the Copyright / DMCA process rather than relying only on the ordinary member report form.
Pro can add Live power or automation features. In the current Live entitlement policy, Pro creators can target a broadcast specifically to Pro viewers and can enable automatic recurring social-preview snapshots for eligible Public broadcasts while their own Watch page remains open. Staff accounts that receive automatic staff Pro use the same server-side Pro capability checks without purchasing a separate subscription.
If Pro ends, ProfoundSyntax preserves a saved Pro-member audience or automatic-snapshot preference rather than deleting it. A broadcast saved for a Pro-member audience cannot be newly started until Pro returns or the creator selects a Free-capable audience. Automatic recurring snapshots pause until Pro returns; creator-uploaded branding and manual social capture remain available according to the current Free rules.
ProfoundSyntax Live Chat
Core Live Chat is available to eligible Free and Pro members on broadcasts they are authorized to watch. Guests may read Chat where the broadcast audience permits guest viewing, while posting requires an eligible signed-in account. Essential blocking, reporting, message removal, timeouts, Chat bans, and moderation are safety features and are not Pro-only upgrades. Creators may turn Chat off or back on for a broadcast without deleting its retained Chat history.
Live Chat is audience-scoped broadcast conversation, not Private Chat. Members may not use it for harassment, threats, spam, unwanted repeated contact, personal-information exposure, ban or block evasion, unsafe content, or other conduct prohibited by these Terms or the Rules. Broadcast creators, Community owners, Full Moderators, custom moderators explicitly granted Moderate Live Chat, and site moderation staff may receive broadcast-scoped Chat moderation controls. The Content Moderator and Report Reviewer presets do not receive Live Chat sanction authority by default. A Community owner may apply a Live Chat timeout or ban to one of that Community’s moderators; while that sanction is active the moderator cannot post or exercise Live Chat moderation in that broadcast, but unrelated Community moderator permissions remain unchanged. Report and Block are ordinary-member safety actions inside Live Chat; members who currently hold Live Chat moderation authority use their direct moderation controls instead. Ordinary members may report an eligible creator, Community owner, moderator, or member. An active moderator of that Community cannot use Live Chat Report or Block against their own Community owner or that Community stream’s creator even when their moderator preset does not grant Live Chat moderation. Reports about the stream creator or Community owner that are validly submitted by ordinary members can be closed only by site moderation staff so the subject of the complaint and subordinate Community moderators cannot dismiss them. Community Live moderators cannot directly sanction the Community owner, stream creator, peer Live moderators, or protected site staff. Site moderation staff may directly remove messages or apply broadcast-scoped Chat sanctions to eligible Community owners, creators, moderators, or members when necessary, but site staff do not submit member reports or use the member Block action through Live Chat. Protected site operational staff accounts remain unavailable as Live Chat Report, Block, Remove, Timeout, or Ban targets. ProfoundSyntax may apply bounded anti-abuse limits to Live Chat posting, reporting, block changes, and moderation actions; ordinary members are limited to three Live Chat message reports per broadcast and duplicate reports of the same message are rejected.
Live Chat may include replies, ProfoundSyntax Global emotes, eligible broadcaster custom emotes, and eligible provider GIFs. These presentation features do not create an exception to these Terms, copyright obligations, Community restrictions, or moderation rules. Broadcaster Live Chat Rules and assigned Community Rules may add reasonable expectations for a broadcast but cannot override ProfoundSyntax-wide Terms, Rules, safety controls, or site-staff authority. Viewer-side Chat Filters, Pause Chat, Hide Chat, appearance controls, and Popout Chat affect that viewer’s experience only and do not alter the canonical conversation or another member’s permissions.
Community Live Broadcasts
A Live broadcast may be attached to an active Community only by that Community’s current owner or authorized site staff. Community moderator status does not automatically grant broadcaster controls. Community ownership and active status are rechecked when broadcast details are saved, when a broadcast is started, and when the broadcaster connection is authorized.
Community visibility and membership rules remain authoritative for Community broadcasts. Private Community access can restrict a broadcast even when the saved broadcast audience is broader. If Community ownership changes or the Community is no longer active, the previous owner’s Community broadcast may stop being startable, publishable, discoverable, or viewable as a Community broadcast until it is brought back into an eligible state.
Public Handles and Names
ProfoundSyntax uses a public @handle system separate from the underlying account login identity. Public handles are subject to availability, formatting rules, protected-name restrictions, impersonation safeguards, cooldown periods, and reservation or quarantine periods after a change.
Real-Name Review
ProfoundSyntax may require first and last name information for full participation or for eligibility for certain identity features. Names that appear incomplete, intentionally misleading, obviously fabricated, or potentially impersonating may be placed into human review.
Optional Identity Verification
ProfoundSyntax may offer eligible members an optional identity-verification process. A verified badge indicates only that the applicable identity-review process was completed. It is not an endorsement, professional credential, background check, certification of expertise, guarantee of trustworthiness, or guarantee that a member’s statements are correct.
Social Sign-In
ProfoundSyntax may support sign-in through selected third-party providers such as Google, GitHub, Discord, LinkedIn, or X. Your relationship with those providers is governed by their own terms and policies. ProfoundSyntax may refuse to create or link an account when required identity or email information cannot be safely verified.
Account Security
You are responsible for protecting your password, social sign-in accounts, authenticator app, ProfoundSyntax Security PIN, recovery codes, verified email, and devices. ProfoundSyntax may temporarily restrict authentication attempts or require additional verification when suspicious activity or repeated failures are detected.
Member-Created Communities
Eligible members may be allowed to create and own Communities subject to account-age, contribution, ownership-capacity, publication-review, naming, visibility, moderation, archive, and other current requirements. Community owners are responsible for operating their spaces in good faith, maintaining appropriate local rules, and using owner/moderator tools consistently with site-wide policies.
Community owners do not acquire ownership of ProfoundSyntax systems, member accounts, or other members’ content. ProfoundSyntax administrators retain final authority to review, restrict, suspend, ban, reinstate where allowed, archive, or otherwise act on a Community when reasonably necessary for safety, abuse prevention, policy enforcement, legal compliance, or service operation.
Community Wikis and Connected Repositories
Community Wiki pages are community content and remain subject to these Terms, the Rules, applicable Community rules, publication review, moderation, and intellectual-property requirements. Wiki capacity and connected-service availability may depend on the Community owner’s current plan and site configuration.
For eligible Public Communities, an owner may connect a repository or supported external service and map Wiki pages to external files. By connecting a repository, you represent that you are authorized to grant the requested access and to read or write the selected content. Manual or automatic synchronization can change content on either side, so you are responsible for reviewing mappings, conflict notices, and repository access before using synchronization in an important project.
ProfoundSyntax may pause or disable a connection or automatic synchronization when permissions are lost, a conflict is detected, a Community becomes ineligible, an administrator disables the feature, or continued synchronization could create an unsafe or ambiguous overwrite. ProfoundSyntax does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of a third-party repository or external integration.
Private Chat, Group Chat, and Mod Mail
Private Chat, Group Chat, and Mod Mail are provided for legitimate member and Community communication. Group Chat owners may manage the group name, invitations, and participant removal within the available controls, and invited members choose whether to accept participation. Site administrators may configure separate Free and Pro Group Chat participant maximums; the Pro maximum is never lower than the Free maximum. A member’s current entitlement determines the maximum for a Group Chat that member owns. If an owner later loses Pro while an existing group is already above the Free maximum, existing participants are preserved, but additional invitations are blocked until the group is within the owner’s current limit. Accepted Private Chats and Group Chats may support eligible locally uploaded images and videos, while general file attachments may require an active Pro entitlement. Chat may apply administrator-configured Free/Pro count, file-size, dimension, format, and storage limits that are shown in the Chat interface and are also bounded by the site’s broader Community Media and server safety limits. Pending one-to-one Chat requests are text-only. You may not use private messaging or Chat media for harassment, threats, spam, fraud, credential solicitation, malware delivery, deceptive or harmful files, unwanted repeated contact, ban/block evasion, adding members to circumvent a block, or other conduct prohibited by these Terms or the Rules. Private does not mean exempt from moderation: reported communications and associated private media may be reviewed by authorized administrators where reasonably necessary for safety or enforcement.
Feedback and Feature Suggestions
ProfoundSyntax may provide private bug-report and feature-suggestion tools. Submit Feedback in good faith and do not use it to harass staff, expose another person’s private information, submit malicious files, or bypass reporting/moderation channels. Technical diagnostics or screenshots you choose to include are handled according to the Privacy Policy and the transparency shown in the Feedback interface.
Feature suggestions are voluntary. Unless ProfoundSyntax separately agrees otherwise in writing, submitting an idea does not create a confidentiality, compensation, ownership, partnership, or implementation obligation. You retain rights you may have in your original submission while permitting ProfoundSyntax to review, discuss, adapt, and use ideas or suggestions to improve the service.
Recognition and Community Signals
Recognition, badges, reputation, votes, and similar community signals are not money, stored value, professional credentials, or guarantees of expertise. You may not buy, sell, trade, coordinate, or manipulate them unless ProfoundSyntax later introduces a specific paid program with separate published terms.
Community Content
You retain ownership of content you create to the extent you own rights in that content. By submitting content to ProfoundSyntax, you grant ProfoundSyntax a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, technically modify, distribute, cache, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, promote, and make the service available.
This license does not give ProfoundSyntax ownership of your original intellectual property.
Code and Technical Content
You are responsible for ensuring that code, scripts, examples, libraries, documentation, images, text, or other materials you publish may legally be shared. Posting source code does not automatically change the license that applies to it.
Do not publish private API keys, passwords, access tokens, credentials, confidential source code, proprietary information, or other secrets.
Public Nature of Community Contributions
Unless a feature clearly states otherwise, Threads, replies, profile information, and other published contributions may be publicly accessible and may be indexed or copied by third parties.
Deleting your account does not necessarily require deletion of every public contribution. Public content may be retained in anonymized or neutralized form when removal would damage discussion history, reply trees, accepted-answer records, moderation context, or other members’ contributions.
Editing and Discussion History
ProfoundSyntax may maintain edit-history information for Threads and replies to preserve discussion integrity. You should not rely on editing content as a method for removing secrets after they have already been published.
Voting and Reputation
ProfoundSyntax may use upvotes, downvotes, accepted answers, Topic-specific reputation, badges, and other community signals. You may not manipulate votes, coordinate artificial voting, operate accounts for vote rings, sell or trade votes, use automation to inflate reputation, or retaliate against another member through abusive voting.
Reputation and badges are community signals, not professional certifications.
Saved Content, Follows, and Notifications
Members may be able to save content, follow discussions or Topics, and receive notifications. Important security, moderation, recovery, or administrative notices may be delivered even when ordinary community-notification categories are disabled.
Moderation, Appeals, and Final Bans
ProfoundSyntax may use administrators, Community Moderators, Topic Moderators, automated abuse controls, and other systems to enforce these Terms and the ProfoundSyntax Rules. Actions may include warnings, removal or restoration of content, locking discussions, marking duplicate Questions, reversing abusive activity, temporary restrictions, suspension, community-participation bans, or other reasonable protective actions.
When an appeal process is available, a banned member may submit appeals subject to the current appeal limit. Repeated denied appeals may result in a Final Permanent Ban. A Final Permanent Ban cannot be reinstated or cleared through the normal moderation process and may disable normal sign-in, account-recovery paths, social sign-in, and re-registration using retained blocked-identity fingerprints. ProfoundSyntax may then purge the account and eligible private or account-linked data after the configured delay, subject to an administrator purge hold where appropriate. Public Community Threads, replies, and discussion-attached media may remain as detached historical contributions so removal of one account does not destroy other members’ discussion context. Limited de-identified enforcement/audit evidence and keyed identity fingerprints may also be retained for security and ban-evasion prevention. No subscription, paid feature, or Pro entitlement overrides a moderation or Final Permanent Ban.
Reports and Abuse Detection
You may report content or accounts that you believe violate ProfoundSyntax rules. You must not knowingly submit false, retaliatory, abusive, or automated mass reports. ProfoundSyntax may use rate limits, duplicate-content detection, excessive-link checks, coordinated-voting signals, suspicious-behavior analysis, and other reasonable anti-abuse measures.
Member Blocking
Blocking is intended to reduce ordinary interaction between members. Blocking does not erase existing public discussions and does not prevent moderators, administrators, security systems, or legally required processes from accessing relevant records.
Prohibited Conduct
- Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or target another person.
- Publish another person’s highly sensitive private information without authorization.
- Impersonate another person, company, project, moderator, or staff member.
- Distribute malware, credential-stealing tools, malicious payloads, destructive code, or intentionally unsafe downloads.
- Conduct unauthorized exploitation or destructive security testing against ProfoundSyntax or third parties.
- Spam, scrape abusively, flood, manipulate ranking, or circumvent rate limits.
- Manipulate votes, reputation, reports, moderation systems, or account restrictions.
- Evade a suspension, ban, block, security restriction, or other enforcement action.
- Violate intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other legal rights.
- Use the service for fraud or unlawful activity.
Adult Sexual Content and Sexual Services
ProfoundSyntax is a developer community, not an adult-content service. Pornography, sexually explicit media, sexualized nudity intended primarily for sexual gratification, fetish pornography, sexual-service advertising or solicitation, escort/prostitution facilitation, and links whose primary purpose is to distribute or sell such material are prohibited. Limited non-graphic references may be permitted when genuinely necessary for technical, legal, safety, educational, or security discussion and when they do not facilitate exploitation or sexual commerce.
Child Sexual Exploitation and CSAM
ProfoundSyntax has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM), a term used here for material that some criminal statutes still describe as child pornography, as well as sexual grooming, sexual extortion, sexualized depictions of minors, child sex trafficking, enticement of minors for sexual activity, or attempts to obtain, trade, link to, generate, advertise, or distribute such material. This platform rule may be broader than the minimum criminal-law definition. ProfoundSyntax may remove or disable access immediately, preserve relevant evidence where lawful, restrict accounts, and make reports to NCMEC CyberTipline or law enforcement when required or appropriate. Do not download or redistribute suspected CSAM in order to report it.
Non-Consensual Intimate Images and Digital Forgeries
Do not publish, threaten to publish, solicit, trade, or link to intimate images or videos of an identifiable person without that person’s consent. This prohibition includes eligible digitally created or altered intimate depictions and sexual deepfakes. An identifiable individual or authorized representative may request removal through the ProfoundSyntax legal/safety process described in Help. Where the U.S. TAKE IT DOWN Act applies to a valid request, ProfoundSyntax will act as soon as possible and within the applicable statutory deadline, including reasonable efforts concerning known identical copies.
Trafficking, Exploitation, and Sexual Commerce
Do not use ProfoundSyntax to recruit, advertise, solicit, arrange, promote, facilitate, or profit from sex trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation, prostitution, sexual services, or conduct involving force, fraud, coercion, or minors. Community ownership, private messaging, Live, external links, or coded language may not be used to evade this rule.
Controlled Substances, Cannabis/THC, and Regulated Goods
ProfoundSyntax does not permit buying, selling, exchanging, delivering, arranging, advertising, or facilitating transactions for illegal drugs, controlled substances, unlawfully dispensed prescription drugs, cannabis/marijuana/THC products, or other regulated goods where the transaction is unlawful or prohibited by ProfoundSyntax. Because state and federal rules can differ, ProfoundSyntax may apply a platform-wide rule that is stricter than the law of a particular state. Good-faith technical, legal, policy, harm-reduction, or educational discussion is not prohibited merely because it mentions a controlled substance, but it must not become a marketplace or transaction-facilitation channel.
United States Compliance Baseline and Global Users
ProfoundSyntax uses United States law as its primary operational compliance baseline and may maintain U.S.-focused legal monitoring for platform-safety issues. Users outside the United States remain responsible for laws that apply to them. Site-wide safety rules apply globally, and ProfoundSyntax may act on unlawful or dangerous conduct involving foreign persons or entities to the best of its ability, including removal, preservation, account restriction, or cooperation with lawful requests from competent authorities. These Terms do not promise that U.S. law is the only law that can apply.
Topic-Specific Rules
Individual Topics may have additional rules relevant to their subject matter. Topic-specific rules cannot authorize conduct prohibited by these Terms or the site-wide ProfoundSyntax Rules.
Copyright and Intellectual Property
Respect the intellectual-property rights of others. ProfoundSyntax may remove or restrict content when a valid intellectual-property complaint or other legal request requires action. Copyright owners and affected members should review the Copyright / DMCA procedure.
ProfoundSyntax may terminate or restrict accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances and may take reasonable steps to accommodate applicable standard technical measures consistent with law.
Automated and Assisted Features
ProfoundSyntax may use clearly identified automated or system-assisted features for tasks such as abuse prevention, translation, quality review, or responding to eligible discussions. Automated output can be incomplete or incorrect and does not replace your responsibility to evaluate technical information before relying on it.
Third-Party Links and Services
ProfoundSyntax may contain links to third-party websites, repositories, documentation, downloads, social platforms, products, or services. ProfoundSyntax does not control every third-party destination and is not responsible for their availability, security, accuracy, policies, or practices.
Availability and Changes
ProfoundSyntax may add, modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, product development, or operation of the service.
Professional Profiles and Industry Credits
Industry Credits and external professional-profile links are member-supplied professional representations. You are responsible for submitting information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and for not falsely claiming a role, employer, studio, project, credit, external identity, professional-profile control, or contribution. External evidence links are supporting references only and can change, disappear, or contain errors.
A ProfoundSyntax Administrator reviewed status means only that authorized ProfoundSyntax staff reviewed the submitted credit against the evidence available at that time. It is not an endorsement, employment verification, background check, certification of expertise, guarantee of accuracy, or verification by MobyGames, IGDB, a publisher, developer, studio, platform holder, or other third party. Material edits can require the credit to be reviewed again.
You must have the right to use any manual cover image or other media you add to an Industry Credit. Selecting a rights basis or permission confirmation is your representation that the applicable use is authorized. Cover data or imagery supplied by an external provider remains subject to that provider’s rights, attribution requirements, terms, availability, and licensing; the presence of a cover in an external database does not itself grant you ownership or a separate license.
Professional-profile cross-linking is optional. ProfoundSyntax does not require reciprocal links and does not promise search-ranking or referral benefits. Do not use Industry profiles, evidence fields, or cross-linking tools for deceptive link schemes, spam, impersonation, or false affiliation.
Industry-category matching with open Project collaboration roles is an advisory discovery signal only. It does not rank a member as qualified, make an employment or hiring decision, automatically invite a member, grant collaborator access, change reputation, or override the Project owner’s authority and existing collaboration rules.
Developer Projects and External Project Links
Projects are member-created portfolio/content objects and remain the responsibility of the members who publish or manage them. Project owners and accepted collaborators must have the right to share Project descriptions, technologies, repository references, gallery media, documentation, package links, related ProfoundSyntax references, and other materials they add. Adding a collaborator handle sends an invitation; the invitation itself remains private until the recipient responds. Acceptance grants bounded Project editing access and allows public collaborator attribution. Only the Project owner or authorized site management can change the Project title, visibility, collaborator membership, repository sources, related-content relationships, the owner’s GitHub synchronization choices, or move the Project to Trash.
Hosted Projects can accept a ZIP of member-supplied static source, create immutable Draft/Active/retained builds, and run an authorized build on an isolated ProfoundSyntax runtime. Package validation, quarantine review, file-type restrictions, integrity checks, and runtime sandboxing reduce risk but do not guarantee that member code is safe, correct, non-malicious, or free of secrets. Do not include passwords, API keys, access tokens, private certificates, recovery codes, private encryption keys, confidential client material, or other credentials in Project source. You are responsible for reviewing source before uploading, saving through Code Canvas, publishing, sharing, or enabling source download.
An eligible Hosted Project may use the ProfoundSyntax persistent-storage interface to save Project-specific data in the visitor’s current browser. The storage interface is quota-limited and browser-local; it does not promise synchronization, backup, availability on another device, or permanent retention. Browser cleanup, private-browsing rules, quota eviction, Runtime changes, or user action can remove saved data. Project code must not use the feature as a substitute for secure server-side storage of passwords, credentials, payment information, highly sensitive personal information, or other secrets.
Trashing a Project disables hosted runtime access without immediately deleting its private source/build history. Permanently deleting the Project purges its private validated-source and quarantine storage. Build retention and Free/Pro limits can restrict creation of additional hosted Projects, uploads, builds, or published history without automatically destroying previously retained Pro-era Projects/builds solely because an entitlement ends. Authorized site administrators may review quarantined packages and may configure quarantine cleanup according to the current Project Runtime policy.
External repositories, demos, documentation, packages, and other linked resources are operated by third parties or members. ProfoundSyntax does not guarantee their availability, security, licensing, accuracy, or continued public status. Connecting GitHub repository metadata to a Project is opt-in and does not grant ProfoundSyntax permission to publish private repository data implicitly.
Package Ecosystems
For supported public npm, PyPI, Packagist, and NuGet package URLs, ProfoundSyntax may display cached public registry metadata and generate a version-specific installation command. This feature does not establish ownership of the package, verify that a package is safe for your use, guarantee compatibility, or grant ProfoundSyntax publishing access to the registry.
You are responsible for reviewing package licensing, security advisories, dependencies, compatibility, and the registry’s current package information before installation or production use. Registry metadata, package availability, verification indicators, and external source links remain controlled by the applicable third party.
Stack Exchange Integration
Members may optionally connect a Stack Exchange network identity through Apps & Integrations, choose associated public site identities to display, refresh recent public Q&A metadata for those saved identities, and explicitly select a limited set of public questions or answers to link from a ProfoundSyntax profile. ProfoundSyntax displays attribution, links, and bounded public metadata only and does not republish full external question or answer bodies by default or represent Stack Exchange reputation, badges, questions, answers, or other external activity as ProfoundSyntax-owned content or endorsements.
Stack Exchange data and services remain subject to Stack Exchange’s own terms, API terms, content licenses, attribution requirements, moderation state, and availability. Members must not use ProfoundSyntax integration features to misrepresent an external identity or contribution history, and a cached title, score, tag, answer state, or link may become outdated until the member refreshes the integration.
Runnable Code and External Sandboxes
When ProfoundSyntax offers an Open In action on supported code, the action is an explicit transfer to a third-party development sandbox. A viewer may transfer one supported block or, when ProfoundSyntax can identify an unambiguous compatible set within the same content item, deliberately choose a combined HTML/CSS/script example. ProfoundSyntax does not execute the member code itself, does not guarantee that transferred code is safe or correct, and does not automatically create or save an external account project. You are responsible for reviewing all code included in a transfer before running, saving, publishing, or sharing it through CodePen, JSFiddle, StackBlitz, or another approved provider, and the provider’s own terms and privacy practices apply after transfer.
No Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ProfoundSyntax is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Community answers, code, tutorials, projects, resources, votes, reputation, and other user-generated information may contain errors. You are responsible for evaluating and testing information before using it in production systems or other important environments.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ProfoundSyntax and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the service, loss of data, reliance on community content, use of third-party links, or inability to access the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Enforcement and Account Restrictions
ProfoundSyntax may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect the community, respond to abuse, protect security, comply with law, or prevent harm.
Privacy
Your use of ProfoundSyntax is also governed by the ProfoundSyntax Privacy Policy.
Rules
Community participation is also governed by the Rules and applicable Topic-specific rules.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when the service changes, new features are introduced, or legal requirements change. For material changes, ProfoundSyntax may provide notice through the website, account interface, notification system, email, or another reasonable method.
