ProfoundSyntax provides this public process for an identifiable person shown in an intimate image or video, or an authorized representative acting for that person, to request removal when the depiction was published without consent. You do not need a ProfoundSyntax account to use this process.
What to Submit
A removal request should provide enough information for ProfoundSyntax to evaluate and locate the material without requiring you to resend the intimate image or video itself. The request form asks for:
- Your physical or electronic signature. The ProfoundSyntax form accepts a typed full legal name as an electronic signature.
- Information reasonably sufficient to locate the intimate image or video on ProfoundSyntax, such as the exact ProfoundSyntax URL or a precise content location.
- A brief good-faith statement that you believe publication of the identified intimate depiction was non-consensual, together with relevant context that helps site staff review the request.
- Contact information sufficient for ProfoundSyntax to respond.
If you are acting for the identifiable person shown, describe your authority to act for that person. Do not upload, attach, or redistribute the intimate image or video merely to submit this request.
48-Hour Action Tracking
The ProfoundSyntax workflow records the time a request is received and tracks an action deadline 48 hours later. When site staff validate a request that is covered by the applicable U.S. TAKE IT DOWN process, ProfoundSyntax is expected to remove the identified depiction and make reasonable efforts concerning known identical copies as soon as possible and no later than the applicable 48-hour deadline.
Submitting a request does not cause an automatic legal determination or automatic deletion. Authorized site staff review the request and the identified material. A request that needs clarification can be marked Needs information while the original received time and tracked deadline remain part of the record.
Known Identical Copies
For eligible ProfoundSyntax-hosted image and video media, authorized site staff can activate an exact-file block after reviewing the request. The block uses a SHA-256 cryptographic file hash to identify byte-for-byte copies, remove already indexed exact matches, and prevent a matching file from being accepted again through the covered Community media upload path.
Exact-file matching does not claim to identify visually similar but technically different material. A cropped, recompressed, resized, transcoded, edited, screenshot, or otherwise changed file may have a different hash and may require separate identification or moderation. Private encrypted communications are not bulk-inspected merely to build an image-matching database; known private material can still be handled through the applicable safety/moderation process when identified.
Private Status
After submission, ProfoundSyntax provides a reference and a private status token. The token is shown once and may also be sent to the contact email supplied with the request. Keep it private. The reference and token allow you to check requester-visible status information without creating an account.
The status page can show whether the request is New, Reviewing, Needs information, Removal in progress, Completed, or closed because the request could not be validated. Open requests also show the tracked 48-hour action deadline.
Privacy and Safety
The removal form collects information needed to process and document the request. Sensitive request fields are protected within the ProfoundSyntax legal-request workflow, and the private status token is not stored in readable form after it is issued. Limited legal, safety, exact-file hash, action, and audit records may be retained where reasonably necessary for compliance, abuse prevention, security, or legal obligations. If the material may involve a child, do not download, save, forward, repost, or upload it to this form. Use the appropriate ProfoundSyntax safety reporting channel so authorized site staff can preserve and escalate evidence appropriately. If someone is in immediate physical danger, contact the appropriate emergency authority.
